Overlanding Africa, Morocco to South Africa, and where else to start such a trip but in Iceland. This is where I'm travelling with a group of 15 other people, for 6 months, in an old Bedford truck, through ~20 different countries.

This is when we drive over the Atlas mountains and start to bush camp, and we end up having a pretty bad accident with the truck. Everybody are still alive though, and we keep going, visiting Todra Gorge and Marrakesh.

Finally getting to Afria! And we're starting out stong visiting the Blue City Chefchaouen, the ancient ruins of Volubilis, and Fez. Two Unesco world heritages the same week!

While waiting for the truck to catch up with us in Malaga we get a message that it has broken down. We're spending one more week in Spain while waiting for it to be fixed, during which we, among other things, visited the town Ronda.

After flying from Copenhagen to Malaga we're waiting for the truck to catch up. This time was spent exploring Malaga, the world heritage Alhambra in Granada, and the British territory Gibraltar.

We're starting our journey from Reykjavik to South Africa by crossing over to the east coast of Iceland to take the ferry to Denmark. A beautiful drive along the Islandic south coast including waterfalls, glacier ice, and a viking village.

The Vikings Across Africa trip, Reykjavik to Cape Town, doesn’t officially start until the 2nd of January. I’ve been told that Iceland is an amazing place though so I decided to go earlier, and after a week in and around Reykjavik I can’t but agree.
