I've quit my job, sold my apartment and most of my belongings, and bought a one-way ticket out of the country. The rough plan is to travel around South America with a detour of a few weeks to visit Antarctica. I'm not sure exactly where I'm going or for how long. All I know is that the first stop is Canada.

Spending a week in Asuncion eating meat and drinking beer and tereré. I also make my way to the waterfall Salto Cristal by local buses, hiking and hitch-hiking.

Trying to enter Paraguay from Bonito, which, after some googling turns out to be more complicated than I expected. But it worked out and I'm now in Asuncion, Paraguay!

Two more stops in Brazil, Bonito and Pantanal, both of which include a lot of water in various ways. Snorkelling in a clear river, wading among the caymans, and fishing for piranhas.

I'm visiting Iguazu Falls, one of the largest waterfalls in the world, the Itaipu dam, also one of the largest in the world, and eat a lot of meat at a Brazilian churrascaria.

My first stop in South America is Rio de Janeiro in Brazil where I check out some cool street art, drink caipirinhas on the beach, and of course say hello to Jesus. I also spend a few days in the colonial town Paraty and do a bit of hiking there.

On my way to South America I'm stopping in Montreal, Canada for a few days, a few days of great views, impressive/weird/fun architecture, cool street art, and a lot of craft beer.

I've sold my apartment and quit my job. Tomorrow I'm off on my next big trip, South America and Antarctica, starting in Canada.
