Finally getting down to lower altitudes and warmer climate. I'm visiting the desert oasis Huacachina, flying over the Nazca Lines, and watching the local wildlife (including penguins) in Paracas.

Germany with Palm Trees and Sand Dunes

Driving through the Namib desert and along the Skeleton Coast, visiting Swakopmund and Windhoek. We go on a quad bike tour on the sand dunes outside of Swakopmund, and visit some of the largest sand dunes in the world in Sossusvlei.
Riding the Iron Ore Train

I'm taking a trip on the iron ore train in Mauritania, one of the longest trains in the world. On the way to the train I made a stop in Terjit Oasis, a green spot in the middle of the Sahara Desert.
First visa

Entering Mauritania by driving through a car cemetery. An expensive visa, but at least it could be acquired directly at the border. In Mauritania we watched endangered monk seals and visited the busiest fish market in West Africa.
Western Sahara

The truck is fixed and we're moving again. After a few more short stops in Morocco we enter Western Sahara. A lot of desert, wind, and driving.
